Bud Cole graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg Univeristy in 1966. He taught the 4th, 5th, & 6th grades at Northampton Area School District for 33 years. He retired from teaching in 1999 and began Three B's Nature Center, where he continues to share his extensive knowledge with people of all ages. He has over 37 years experience as teacher and specialized skills instructor of youth and adult programs.

Qualifications
- Public service provider of ski and environmental instruction and coordination.
- Graduate of the American Wilderness Leadership School, Jackson, Wyoming.

Outdoor Ed. summer day camps: Developed programs in environmental awareness including canoeing, archery, fishing, fly tying, stream ecology, astronomy, weather, orienteering, maple sugaring, plant and wildlife studies.
- Participant in the development and publication of "Sites for Environmental Education Development" for Jacobsburg State Park pursuant to ESEA Title III grant from the PA Dept. of Education.

Adjunct professor for Northampton Community College.
- Naturalist for the Wildlands Conservancy Bike and Boat Education Program.

- Freelance writer and photographer.
- Author of "BUD'S VIEW", a nature article published in 7 regional newspapers.
- Member of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association.
- Photos and articles published in Pennsylvania Magazine.
- Active with local scout groups.
- Coach for PA Special Olympics.
- Member and volunteer for the Quiet Valley Historical Farm, Wildlands Conservancy, and National Audubon Society.
- Participant and volunteer for the Northampton County Federation of Sportsman's Junior Conservation School.
Awards
- Received the PA Outdoor Writers Association award as "Youth Mentor, 2002."
- Nominated for the 1999 Pennsylvania Wildlife Federation's Conservation Educator of the Year.
- Named educator of the Year by the Northampton County Conservation District.
